What belongs in Hong Kong, and what belongs near the factory?

Treat the Greater Bay Area as a set of connected operating locations, not a single legal or regulatory jurisdiction. A team might explore Hong Kong for research connections and international business relationships, alongside Shenzhen and nearby manufacturing clusters for engineering and supplier work. That is an operating option to evaluate, not a requirement to move the whole company.

Shenzhen’s published 2025–2026 AI terminal action plan identifies software–hardware development and supply-chain capabilities as priorities for new AI devices. It is evidence of policy direction, not proof that a particular supplier can deliver your product. Request product-specific references, engineering evidence and an agreed test plan before selecting a partner.

Three workstreams, one accountable next step

Manufacturing: describe your prototype maturity, target production volume, critical components, cost assumptions and unresolved engineering risks. A useful introduction is one that matches those constraints, not a long list of factories.

Capital: explain your current evidence, the amount sought, the milestone it would finance and the next financing dependency. Jimhang’s investment overview distinguishes investment, governance involvement and incubation relationships. Those categories should not be treated as interchangeable endorsements.

People and policy: identify who needs to work where, which entity would employ them and what activities will take place locally. Incubation, immigration and talent support are separate assessments. We can discuss relevant routes; decisions remain with the authorities and programme operators.

Include a short deck or summary, a product demo if available, your stage, target customers, current evidence and the specific help you want: supplier qualification, prototype-to-production planning, investor conversations or regional setup.

For the first exchange, omit source code, customer personal data, unrestricted technical drawings and other sensitive information. Agree confidentiality and access arrangements before sharing detailed diligence materials. English-language enquiries are welcome. No relocation, investment decision or exclusive supplier commitment is required simply to start a conversation.

Common questions from overseas teams

Do we have to establish a Hong Kong company before contacting Jimhang? No. Introduce your existing structure and objectives first. A specific programme may have its own incorporation and local-operation requirements.

Can you guarantee funding, grants or a production deadline? No. Investment depends on diligence and a separate decision; public support depends on eligibility and approval; manufacturing depends on product and supplier validation.

Is Jimhang a factory or the operator of government programmes? This invitation concerns investment, project assessment and resource coordination. Manufacturing and programme services need to be agreed with the relevant providers. A link to an institution does not imply an official partnership.
