Separate the three activity windows

HKTDC's fair overview lists the physical fair, Click2Match and Sourcing dates separately. Its 13 October announcement also confirms online matching through 23 October.

Channel 2026 window Suggested use
Physical fair at HKCEC 13–16 October Meet teams, understand products and note unresolved questions
Click2Match online matching 6–23 October Arrange further online discussions using available platform functions
hktdc.com Sourcing 13 September–12 November Continue reviewing relevant supplier and product information during its activity window

These are distinct services, not a promise that every company is contactable through every channel. Account eligibility, available participants and actual booking options should be checked on the official platform.

Leave a booth with a question, not only a business card

A useful note can be short: the product discussed, the intended application, an unanswered question and the information the other party agreed to provide. Those details give a follow-up email its context.

For example, asking about installation and maintenance in a target setting is more actionable than a general expression of interest in cooperation. This is a communication example, not a feature or arrangement attributed to a participating company.

Ask an email to move one action forward

The first follow-up can contain four elements: the meeting context, the intended use, one requested document and a proposed meeting time. If installation is the immediate question, begin with the relevant information. If product selection remains open, clarify the suitable model before requesting a complete commercial package.

A simple structure is: we discussed this product on this date; our interest concerns this market or use; we would appreciate this non-confidential information; after reviewing it, we propose a short call. Plans and timing require agreement. A suggested next step should not be described as a confirmed commitment.

Keep information, answers and versions connected

Further exchanges may introduce another model, a revised document or a different language version. Retaining the document date, provider, open question and latest confirmation makes collaboration clearer than keeping an attachment alone.

Field Why retain it?
Product and intended use Avoid mixing different models or requirements
Document name and date Identify the version under discussion
Open question Give the next meeting a clear purpose
Next action and timing Distinguish suggestions, agreed arrangements and completed work

For customer information, confidential technology or unpublished commercial material, establish whether disclosure is necessary and what may be shared. Non-confidential versions are preferable for initial exchanges.

Carry an international need into a product discussion

An overseas buyer and an engineering team may work in different time zones and use different terminology. Describing the intended use, conditions and one answerable question helps a Hong Kong conversation continue with product teams in Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area.

Jimhang can discuss introductions, requirement clarification and organising further exchanges. That is not a procurement guarantee on either party's behalf. Online matching provides a communication route, not a promise of replies, orders or funding.

Prepare the next conversation during the fair

The physical exhibition is underway. Rather than waiting until every business card has accumulated, select the discussions worth continuing at the end of each day, record the next action and use a mutually accepted contact channel.

Find Jimhang's ten showcase directions and booths in the Going Global fair feature, or discuss introductions at J02. The founder roadshow is scheduled for 15 October, 15:00–16:30 Hong Kong time; the original posters explain the invitation and admission conditions. Contact Jimhang Capital for introductions or cooperation discussions.

Activity windows reflect HKTDC public information checked on 14 October 2026. Follow-up steps and tables are editorial suggestions, not platform-function guarantees or completed transactions.
