Wonder Town: making a little story out of your day
Wonder Town is an interactive world of chosen activities: exploring streets, changing outfits, arranging a home, visiting pets, making bead patterns or preparing drinks. Its focus is less on one continuous score than on deciding what to do today. Locations, collections and neighbour stories connect those choices into small, manageable outings.
Explore before choosing a destination
The map and navigation make places such as the wardrobe, home, pet area, bead studio and travel options available from the start. Walk along a path or drag the map before selecting a destination. For a first visit, one aim is enough: complete a bead picture, for example, or inspect an order at the drinks shop. A small goal gives the visit a recognisable shape. It also makes a later return easier because there is a particular activity to continue or compare with another one.
Bead patterns make pictures out of cells
The bead studio uses a twelve-by-twelve board with colour choices, an eraser, undo and rotation controls. A picture is divided into small cells with definite positions, making it possible to see how neighbouring colours form an outline. Save a completed piece to the collection, then compare the whole image with its individual cells. This is also an approachable way to think about pixel pictures. From a distance there is a recognisable shape; up close there is an arrangement of coloured units.
Orders and neighbours give actions a purpose
Drink orders ask the player to choose ingredients. Peach fizzy tea, for example, combines peach, tea and soda; an incorrect selection brings a reminder so it can be remade. Neighbour requests connect activities into small stories. One neighbour asks for newly prepared drinks, while another wants to see a bead picture from the collection. Returning after the activity leads to a response and a souvenir postcard. The narrative is therefore linked to something the player has done, rather than sitting separately from the interaction.
Keep a little record of your choices
Outfits, room arrangements, bead collections and the town journal allow different visits to leave different traces. Notice how you make choices: do you begin with colour, usefulness or an imagined story? That question can connect the game to other creative work. Progress is kept in the current browser, with backup and restore options available in settings. Keep a backup before moving devices. On returning, revisit something in the collection before choosing another small activity, so a new outing can build on an earlier discovery.
Two more questions
Is Wonder Town only a dress-up game?
No. It also offers home spaces, pets, bead-making, drinks, neighbour stories and travel activities.
Will my town automatically sync to another browser?
Progress stays in the current browser. Use the provided backup feature before switching browsers or devices.
